The Interventions & Learning Strategies Network provides staff development and leadership opportunities for educational personnel in the Denver Metropolitan Region. Its activities are designed to support School District and the Colorado Department of Education initiatives, to increase the skills and leadership capacity of Metro educators, and to increase student achievement. The focus is on providing high quality staff development that will have a positive impact on student achievement for all students. High quality staff development is provided through trainings, workshops, coaching and on-line coaching. Nationally known experts as well as local experts in their fields provide staff development. Areas being addressed include literacy, behavior management, and differentiating curriculum, instruction and assessment.
